What is Okinawan Karate and Kobudo?

 

Okinawan Uechi-ryu Karate and Okinawan Kobudo are martial arts. Make no mistake; they are highly effective fighting systems utilizing both empty hands and weapons, respectively. However, in the long term especially, the serious student will venture well beyond this obvious surface benefit. When you study the art in proper context, i.e., with discipline, respect, courtesy, humility, and harmony, you will reap great personal rewards along the way. A true dojo provides such an environment.

 

Continued, regular and diligent training can have a profound positive effect on the quality of your daily life.  After more than forty-three years of study, I continue to love, enjoy and benefit from my own journey in this fascinating art and I am certainly not alone.
